Frequently asked questions
Answers on the GetCleaningWebsite offer: what is included, revisions, articles, the AI Engine, hosting, domains, moving your current site and billing.
The offer
How long until my cleaning company website is live?
7 days on Spotless Start, 10 days on Deep Clean Plus while the AI Engine is trained on your services and pricing, and 15 days on White Glove Elite once the content pipeline is set up. The clock starts at the onboarding call, not the day you pay, so the sooner your onboarding form is in, the sooner the towns you serve show up in search.
What is actually included for the monthly fee?
A custom-coded site with a page for every service you offer, a page for every town you clean, an instant quote tool wired into your CRM, a before and after gallery, weekly researched articles, and hosting with SSL, CDN and DDoS protection, all under one fee. There is nothing itemised separately and no per-page or per-town charge as your site grows.
Do I need a page for every town I clean, or is a service area list enough?
A dedicated page for each town, crossed with the services you offer there, is what lets an independent cleaning company compete against national directories that list thousands of thin pages. A single "areas we serve" list gives search engines nothing to match a searcher to, while a real page for each town, with the response time and neighbourhoods you actually reach, gives them something to rank.
Getting started
What happens right after I sign up?
You fill in the onboarding form, which asks for your services, the towns you serve, your recurring plans, your brand and where quote submissions should land, and it takes about 15 minutes. If something is missing, submit anyway; you can send the rest by email or raise it as a ticket in your client portal, and it will not hold up the build. One onboarding call follows to fill any gaps and lock in the launch date.
I run both residential and commercial cleaning. Can the site handle both?
Yes. The onboarding form asks you to list every service line separately, so residential plans and commercial or janitorial contracts each get their own pages rather than being folded into one generic services list that answers neither buyer well.
What is the client portal?
It is your account with us, and you get it the day your site goes live. From the portal you request revisions, raise a support ticket for anything that needs attention, send us files you still owe us, and message our team directly. Everything to do with your site runs through it, so nothing gets lost in an inbox. You never log in to the website itself; we handle that side.
Revisions and the client portal
What counts as one revision?
A revision is any change request you send, with no limit on how much goes into one. Adding a new service, publishing a new town, updating a recurring plan price, swapping a gallery photo: each is one revision, and so is something larger. "Add two new service area pages, here is the copy for both" is one revision, not two. 5 are included every month, and each is completed within 2 to 5 working days.
What happens after I use my five revisions in a month?
Each additional revision after the fifth is a flat $20, with no cap on how many you can request and no hourly billing anywhere. Unused revisions do not roll over to the following month, so it is worth batching smaller requests into your monthly five where you can.
How do I actually request a change?
Raise it in your client portal, describe the change, and attach anything the team needs, such as new photos for a gallery or updated pricing for a recurring plan. It lands as a tracked request so you can see where it stands. You can also email or reply to any thread with our team and we log it for you.
Articles
What do the weekly articles actually cover?
Topics people search before hiring a cleaning company: how often a rental should be professionally cleaned, what a move-out clean includes that a standard clean does not, how to compare weekly and biweekly service, and similar answers written at 2,500 to 3,200 words each. Spotless Start and Deep Clean Plus publish 2 a week; White Glove Elite publishes 3.
Can articles target both homeowners and commercial buyers?
Yes, and we recommend it if you serve both. Residential search behaviour and commercial search behaviour are different, so articles are planned to cover both audiences over time rather than defaulting entirely to one and leaving the other segment of your business with nothing new to rank on.
Do I get to approve article topics before they are written?
You can suggest topics at any point through your client portal, and we plan around seasonal patterns in cleaning demand, such as move dates and holiday turnover, without needing sign-off on every single title. If a published article needs adjusting, that is a revision like any other and is turned around within the standard window.
The AI Engine
What does the AI Engine actually do for a cleaning company?
It is trained on your services, service area and pricing structure, and it answers common questions and books straightforward jobs at any hour, which matters because a lot of cleaning enquiries land in the evening once someone has finished their own day. Anything outside its training is routed to you rather than guessed at.
How is AI usage billed?
Usage is billed on top of the Deep Clean Plus monthly fee at exactly what our providers charge us, with nothing marked up. Most cleaning companies see modest usage in the early months and it scales with enquiry volume as the site ranks for more towns and services.
Hosting and management
Is hosting billed separately from the monthly fee?
No. Hosting runs on Cloudflare's global network with SSL, CDN, DDoS protection and unmetered bandwidth, all included in the monthly figure and never itemised. There is no hosting invoice, no certificate renewal and no bandwidth overage.
Who is responsible for keeping the site running and secure?
We are. There are no plugins to update and nothing on your end to maintain. If anything needs attention, raise it in your client portal and the team handles it, so running the site never competes with the time you would rather spend on actual cleaning jobs.
Domains
Do I have to buy a domain separately?
No. One domain is included free for as long as your plan is active, registered in your name so you own it outright. If you already have a domain, we point it at the new site instead and nothing changes for customers who already know your web address. If you ever leave, tell us where to send it and we transfer it at no charge.
Can I use a domain that includes the towns I serve?
Yes, and it can help, though it is not required since the service area pages themselves do most of the work of matching your site to local searches. If you already have a strong domain, keeping it and pointing it at the new site usually beats switching to a new one and losing any existing recognition.
Moving from your current site
I already have a cleaning company website. What happens to it?
We build the new site alongside your current one, and nothing changes for visitors until launch day, when we point your domain at the new site and the old one is retired. Your existing service area pages and content are used as a starting reference, but every page is rebuilt rather than copied, since most existing cleaning sites are missing the town and service-specific pages this build is centred on.
Will I lose my current search rankings when we switch?
The goal of the migration is the opposite: matching your existing URLs where they still make sense and redirecting the rest, so search engines are pointed at the equivalent new page rather than a dead link. A faster, more complete site with proper service area coverage is generally the reason companies move to this offer in the first place.
Billing and cancellation
What do I actually pay, and when?
You pay the monthly fee for the tier you choose up front: $117, $247 plus AI usage, or $597 a month. The $647 one-time build fee is invoiced only after your site is live and you are satisfied with it. Domain and hosting are inside the monthly figure.
How do I cancel, and how much notice do you need?
Email us and say you want to cancel. Your message must reach us at least 2 business days before your next invoice date, during business hours, which are 9:00 to 17:00 Central Time, Monday to Friday. A message sent outside those hours counts from the start of the next business day, so a weekend email does not give 2 business days of notice for an invoice due Monday or Tuesday. With valid notice, no further invoice is raised and your site runs to the end of the month you have paid for.
Do you offer refunds?
No. All sales are final, including monthly fees, the build fee, extra revisions and any cost passed through at what our providers charge us. We do not refund for a change of mind or a month you did not use. The one exception is a duplicate or incorrect charge made by our billing: tell us within 30 days and we correct it within 10 working days. The build fee is charged only after you have approved your site, which is exactly why it is not refundable afterwards.
Does the price change if I add more towns or services later?
No. The monthly fee stays the same regardless of how many service area pages or service pages the site carries. New towns and services are added through your regular revisions, not billed as extras, which is one of the reasons cleaning companies expanding into new areas choose this offer over paying per page.
